| Movie goers are still coming out in their numbers to view the locally produced movie Hit For Six!, pushing it into a third week of viewing, alongside some of Hollywoods major blockbuster films.
Reports out of the Olympus Theatres indicate that the film continues to do very well. Colleen Hue, general manager of Blue Waters Productions and a producer of the film, said Hit For Six! has benefited from great word-of-mouth promotion, especially by persons who had been to see the movie twice. She said: We are delighted with the response; we want to thank everyone for their support and those of you who have not yet seen the movie, you still have a chance to get to the Olympus in the next few days.
Winner of three awards at the Bridgetown Film Festival, 2007, Hit For Six! is being screened at 7:30 p.m daily in Olympus Expo with an additional 4:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday and Sunday.
Hit For Six!, written and directed by Alison Saunders-Franklyn, has been billed as a potpourri of cricket, love and scandal. It has a star-studded cast that includes Canadian-based Barbadian actress, Alison Sealy-Smith, popular local actors Andrew Pilgrim, Varia Williams and Tony Thompson, UK-based Trinidadian star of Eastenders, Rudolph Walker and MTV Tempo host, Jeanille Bonterre.
