Hit For Six!, written and directed by Trinidadian-born Barbados-based Alison Saunders-Franklyn, is the story of a playboy West Indies cricketer who must fight the demons of his past, including a match fixing charge, and learn about love while struggling for his last chance to play in a major global tournament and earn the respect of his estranged father, a former great West Indies player.

The stars of the movie include popular host of MTV Tempo, Trinidadian Jeanille Bonterre; British-based Trinidadian actor, Rudolph Walker; lead actor Barbadian Andrew Pilgrim; Canadian-based Barbadian actress, Alison Sealy-Smith; and Barbadian actress Varia Williams.

Saunders-Franklyn credits the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company (TTFC) with being the first contributor to Hit For Six!, stating that the grant "gave us legitimacy early in our fund raising process and showed the confidence of a government."
